The Department of Psychology at Butler University invites applications for two non-tenure track Lecturers in Psychology to start in August 2024. We seek colleagues who are committed to inclusive undergraduate teaching practices. The Butler Psychology Department values diversity among its faculty, is committed to building a culturally diverse intellectual community, and strongly encourages applications from historically marginalized groups.
This position requires full-time, in-person instruction. A Ph.D. in Psychology (or a closely related field) at the time of appointment is required. Standard teaching load is 4 courses per semester plus service responsibilities. We seek colleagues who will be ready to teach required psychology courses such as introductory psychology, research methods and statistics, as well as content courses in their area of expertise (e.g., biological bases of behavior, developmental psychology). Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to building an inclusive classroom environment for an increasingly diverse student body.
