CUNY SPS currently seeks candidates for a substitute position for AY 2024-2025 at the rank of Lecturer (Doctoral Schedule) for the School’s four Online Business Programs: Bachelor of Professional Studies in Applied Management and Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Science in Business, Master of Science in Business Management and Leadership, and Advanced Certificate in Management.
Note: Teaching instructional substitute appointments may not be made for more than four consecutive semesters. Substitutes may not be considered for reappointment.
The general responsibilities will include but are not limited to: teaching courses as assigned, curriculum and program development, assessment, advisement and support of students, service to the program and School via participation on committees and in School governance, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Academic Director of Online Business programs.
This position will require an on-site presence.
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
The preferred candidate will have:
Earned PhD in Management or other business discipline from an accredited business program;
Specialization via education, work experience, or research in business analytics;
An established record (and at least 5 years’ experience) of teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, including positive teaching evaluations;
Experience with online teaching and learning in higher education;
Experience with course and program level learning outcomes assessment;
Proven track record in curriculum and online course development; instructor and student evaluation; and, student advising;
Knowledge of and experience using emerging technologies and open source educational materials;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Enthusiasm and demonstrated commitment to teaching;
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Salary range of $77,517- $86,698 and commensurate witheducationand experience.
